I'm shocked and saddened to hear of Warren's passing. Warren and I were like glue all through high school, so many good memories. After graduation, I went into the Marine Corps and we lost contact with each other. Warren and I saw each other again for a short time in 1972 and then I moved to Oklahoma. Although we never talked after that I never forgot him.I still remember the day in junior high when Warren told me his parents had bought a house just a few blocks from mine. We knew the good times were going to roll then and they did! Earnie and Pat may have wondered at times if our living so close to one other was such a good idea.Warren was older than Rick and me and the day Warren got his license was one of the best days of our lives. We had wheels! Warren, Rick, and I could have been poster children for why parents worry when their child starts driving.Warren and I made sure that we had as many of the same classes together as possible in high school. We had PE together as well as a free period immediately afterward. It was that free period afterward where we worked so much havoc. We would use up all of the hot water just before it was time for the freshman PE class to shower. You should have heard them yell when the cold water hit them. One day, just before lunch, Warren and I managed to hide nearly all of the chairs in the school cafeteria. It was interesting watching everyone try to eat while standing. No one knew who did it. We were always up to something.Everyone should have a friend like Warren at some point in their life. Goodbye for now my friend.
