This made me so sad. I loved going to the Budds home in Riverton. My sister(Daria) and I babysat for all you kids and your folks treated us so well. Carrie had us over one Christmas time to bake and decorate cookies and when Daria broke her arm while my mom and dad (Petie and Rollie Brown) were Dubois for the day, Bill and Carrie kept us and fed us ice-cream until they got home. Of course, I remember the stereo too and Skeeter Davis hits were my favorite!

I have very, very fond memories of both Bill and Carrie and was saddened to read this news. Bill and Carrie were good friends with my parents, Pete and Rollie Brown and my sister and I used to babysit the Budd kids. We both love babysitting there, and I was always jealous when Michelle got the job. We had to take turns. You kids were always so well mannered and fun to babysit and we really like listening to your stereo systemwhenever I hear the song The Lion Sleeps at Night I think of all of you. I worked with Carolyn at the T Cross ranch the summer of 1955, and the only time I met Bill was at their wedding that summer at the Mockler ranch here in Dubois. I ran into a grand daughter in Fairbanks AK the summer of 2015 and advised her that she should get an anniversary card for her grandmother as I was at her wedding. I just finished the book his son Bob wrote (great read). I also went into the Air Force in 1955 and retired in 1976. Dear Bob, Lynn, and Budd Family,I was so very sad to see the obituary and learn of your dad's passing. I remember meeting him and your mom a couple of times when you and I were in college. I did not really know him, but I sincerely believe he was a decent, good, smart, very hard-working man. Who was fun, fun-loving, and who loved his family, friends, and this State, Wyoming. I believe this because I have known you, Bob, and these same traits and values I have seen instilled in you. Wyoming loses a great native son, but God gets a man to ride the fence lines with.
